Hi, my name is Kelly.  I was diagnosed with End Stage Renal Failure less than a week ago and have already started Dialysis.  They certainly waste no time do they?

 :grouphug; welcome. Sometimes it is better to rush through the wait period. Waiting and worry are two tough cookies.

Wow Kelly - no rest for the wicked (I am sure you are, really  >:D >:D >:D).... to be diagnosed and start in a week? That sounds like some serious acute failure, or just chronic that was not picked up till very late - either way that would have been a real shock to your system. So glad you have found us - hopefully we can help you adjust to this new chapter in your life and make things a little easier, or just give you a place to come vent!

Hi Kelly and welcome to IHD.  This is a great site to learn all about kidney disease and ESRD as well as Dialysis.  Lots of great folks on here who can relate and are on the same path.  Ask questions, read and learn or just vent if you need to.   You have just joined a wonderful family.   :welcomesign;
