It is snowing unbelievably outside.  I am SOOOOO glad I don't have to go to the center for dialysis.  PD is wonderful.   ;D

It's quick and easy to set up, I can throw the machine in the boot of the car and go away if I want to - or just take manual bags for a few days if I can't be bothered with the machine.

I am so jealous that it has been snowing there!! I live in the Seattle area and it has not snowed once all year... our temperatures have mostly been in the 50's all winter.

I feel for the Olympic folks up north.

I am glad you have the option of PD at home when it snows outside.. That is one less thing to worry about when I officially start.

Have a great weekend and a fantastic Valentines Day!

Being a control freak, I prefer PD to hemo because I want to be the one controlling what happens to me.  Six years ago my kidneys failed so fast that I had a permacath for 3 months.  I constantly fought with them about how much fluid to take off (I was still peeing gallons).  One time they told me they would take off 1.5 and set the machine for 3.  I went shopping afterward and passed out in the store from dehydration.  Never again, thought I.
