Hi Guys, I haven't been on for a while.  Got pancreatitis in early October, spent 6 weeks in hospital and they had to remove my PD tube as a precaution, so .back on Hemo. Uck!  Today they replaced my Pd tube and it is working!  One more month and I will be off hemo again, and back to PD.  Yippee :flower; :flower;

I'm pleased for you Red fC, you've not had a good Christmas.

I shall never know how much better PD is because my only option is hemo.  :'(

Ugh I know how painful pancreatitis is, I had it once and was in the hospital with it. Glad you are back to PD.

Hi Red from Canada, My husband had to do the same thing, e-coli bug - catheter out - emergency hemo which he hated 3 months later, new catheter. He has been unlucky this one has been positioned too high and he is not getting a very good drain. He is scheduled for an op at beginning of Feb, apparently the new surgeon they have just got can, wait for it Twiggle it with out having to replace it. I hope it works. They are also doing a graft at the same time. Oh the mind boggles. After being on hemo for over three months he was so glad to be back on to CAPD.I keep my fingers crossed that it will work properly this time..

Your post makes me happy.   :clap;

Hubby is in the same boat - PD tube out on New Years Day and we're hoping after everything clears up in a few months, PD will still be possible.

I'm glad things are working well for you.
