Honestly, I don't see why that thing is so popular. Batteries run out and it will go to the bottom of the toy bin. Worst scenario - dogs chew toy. lol

Another "Elmo" craze is on the way.   :banghead;

When I click on the link it talks about a woman calling 911 to turn herself in for driving drunk?  Then a moose named Pete?

You have to watch the first 2-3 videos and advertisements. Then to the right of the video it shows the upcoming videos. Look for the one that says, ZhuZhu tops 'must have' holiday toy list.  :thumbup;

What's past is prologue

I took a look at the toys a few weeks ago and I don't get the big deal, either. Once you buy the little hamster, there all of these accessories to buy separately. I have read that the wheels on the pets end up catching in kids' hair, which hurts, and parents can end up having to cut the little rodents off from their kids' heads. Happily, my kids have shown no interest in these.

These crazes are a marketer's dream. My granddaughters don't have TV, so they have no idea!  :clap;

It costs more than a real hamster.  :rofl;

From Toys R Us:

Zhu Zhu Pet hamsters are a collection of adorable, furry, interactive hamsters. With names like Patches, Chunk, PipSqueak, Mr. Squiggles and Num Nums, your kids are sure to love them. Zhu Zhu Pets have a wide range of Zhu Zhu Pet Playsets with different themes such as a Hamster Car & Garage, Skateboard & U-turn, Slide with Ramp, and Giant Hamster Fun House. Toys"R"Us also has an exclusive Zhu Zhu Pets carrier and bed plus many others to choose from.
Each Zhu Zhu Pet has its own unique personality - find out which one is most like you with the "What Zhu Zhu are you?" quiz.
