You can't get much more down & out than George Orwell, in his autobiographical novel "Down and Out in Paris and London". Read it, it'll cheer you up!

I can't for the life of me remember the name of the comedian, but he had a line about, "When you're down and out, life up your head and shout I'M DOWN AND OUT!"  I always loved that line.

It's hard to feel down and out when you watch Extreme Home Makeover...whenever I start feeling down I think that it could be a whole lot worse, for the most part that works for me....although there are some days that I don't want to hear that!

I'm thinking about my friend who died last week from liver disease while waiting on the transplant list. At least people with kidney disease have dialysis as an option. Things could always be worse!

I'm so sorry, Sunny.

When I am down and out, I look for others to help.
