thank you for your Happy birthday wishes and just to say happy birthday to me too!!!

sept 25th 2009 i had my live donor transplant - a kidney from my beloved hubbie!!!   i am on top of the world - peeing for England , 12 litres a day in hospital with my catheter in and having to drink in excess of 4 litres a day!! Lots and lots of ice  . Life is wonderful, NO SIDE EFFECTS AT ALL , except gained a stone in 4 weeks - eating like a horse due to the prednisolone steriod but i will reign that in a bit now.

my hubby still a bit sore - I was out fo hospital and shopping (gently) in Sainsburys the next day11

Up to Bristol now twice weekly for the next two weeks (3hrs up- 2 hrs clinic and bloods and then 3 hrs back so total of 8 hrs but that's OK  Then I will be transferred over to Dorchester!1

I will pray and wish and dream for you all. Keep believing- Life can and does get 1000% better

My thoughts are with you all!!
