i am 27 my 24 yr old cousin has very high potential for being able to donate.  only one test result is unknown.  we have started fundraising and there is lots of attention being forced her way.  one of the things that is so comforting about her being my donor is we tend to have some similar views on life, religion, socialsing, psychology.
I can only speak for my self. I like to prepare my self, through education and self capacity. I prefer to keep my feelings close/ private until i have sorted through them all. I tend to feel people speak before considering others, i try real hard to make sure i do my best at thinking before i open my mouth.

My cuz and i love eachother very much, but our closeness faded as i got older and moved off. Now we are living in the same town and we r grown. We do talk, about this and other stuff. Our bond is getting stronger by the day. I can only put myself into her shoes so far. I am sure we experiance alot of the same emotions, but ill never truely be able  to understand. I know she feels that lacking. I have been researching all night, i didn't find a site that just garbed me like this one. If any one feels they can relate and would want to offer her conversation, please pm me ur info. I will pass it on to her. I think just knowing ur there will help.
Thanks from 2 realistic cousins in a surreal circumstance

She must love you to be doing this for you.  What an amazing cousin. My sister is going through the process of donating a kidney (altruistically) and would be happy to talk with your cousin if you thought it would help.  PM if you want her email.

You might want to give her this information here - she can meet another living donor who will be a Buddy through the process http://www.livingdonorsonline.org/buddies/buddies.htm
