Hi, the first time we set up the cycler in home with trainer, we got a jewelbox com error after draining the PureFlow. She hadn't seen it before. So we called NxStage & went through some troubleshooting things. So they decided to send out a new jewelbox. We connected it up & got the same error when it was time to drain the PureFlow again. Anyone else seen this error?

Yeah, it's a new error ever since they upgraded the software of the controller, I get it every time a new batch is made, just press the red button and it goes away. What REALLY bugs me is the very long wait now to get a test sample to pump out after waiting forever bent over holding a container to catch the flow. They seem to have programmed some extra long pauses between pushing the button and having an action take place, should be a relatively easy software fix I should think.....

Hi, thanks for the reply. DH says he will call NxStage in the morning to see if they want this jewelbox too.

We get the same error every time we make batch, however I thought it was tied to the fact that we keep the cycler unplugged unless it is in use. Figured the jewel box can't communicate if it's not plugged in.

The complete set up is in our bedroom. The fan and the green on light on the back of the cycler faces our bed, annoying with loud whir and bright light.. hard to sleep!  Took us awhile to get use to the sound of the pureflow heater clicking on and off at night.

Good, I'm not the only one who hates how long it takes to dispense the fluid for chloramine testing. I miss just being able to drip a drop of fluid on the test strip and that's it. Grrr! I also get the jewel box error, and I just push stop and it goes away.

In my talk with the NxStage tech about the "new" software problems I pointed out that some users might forego the cloromine test altogether, or just might simply do the "old" test and then press the button to proceed with the test and wait out the machine to proceed in a full sitting or standing posture.....
