I am trying to build my husband up because he has lost so much weight in the last 3 months after having a very bad bout of peritonitis. He had to have his tube out and go on to Hemo. Hopefully his tube will be fitted back in at the end of the month. The last two weeks he has been feeling so much better and consequently his appitite has returned. When he was on PD his dry weight was 76kilo on Hemo for what ever reason, no it was because he had lost a lot of weight they put him down to 71kilo. He went for his Hemo this morning and his weight had gone up by 1 kilo he explained to the nurse it was because he had eaten so much better over the weekend, so what did she do.TAKE A LOT MORE FLUID OFF how can they tell what is fluid and what is body weight. He has not got any adema. At this rate he will stay skinny.I find it so frustrating. What are they supposed to do "Listen to the patient"
