Hi,

I know nothing about colostomy bags but I read somewhere where a PD pt used one over their exit site and were able to go swimming!

Where do I find the right one for this use?  Link please.

Hi Kana.  My spouse is on PD and we have used an ostomy bag over his catheter to go floating/kayaking/swimming.  His neph said it was all right as long as he was not in stagnant water.  We were able to get them through a friend who works for a medical supply company.  I also understand you can get them on eBay.  You might want to talk to your nephrologist about it also.

My husband's nurse has suggested this for swimming when we go to Palm Springs this winter.  I asked at a medical supply place and was asked "What size and type?"  Huh?  I don't know.

If possible, could you provide a few more details or perhaps a link to what you use?  Thank you very much for any assistance.

Here is the one we have used:  http://www.medicalsupplygroup.com/OSTOMY/1_PIECE_CLOSED/SQB175611/product.aspx.  Hope that helps.

Thank you very, very much.  I'm sure we'll be able to find what we need with that information.
