Hello (from Malaysia)

Hello all,
Please call me acougan, I've been using the handle for quite some time and it is a partial anagram of my real name. I'm 33, a Malaysian Chinese male from Petaling Jaya (it's near KL) Malaysia.
date of CKD discovery (chronic GN): Feb 23 2009
date of first HDialysis session: Feb 24 2009
So, i reached my one year milestone recently. I came across this place in one my usual google search for for information on CKD and dialysis. I love the humor behind the site's name because i don't really hate dialysis at all, haha. Once I've accepted my condition, I've also made peace with the fact than I need dialysis to keep going for now. BTW, my spelling and grammar really sucks so I'll try my best when posting. Nice to meet everyone here.

acougan and happy anniversary. You'll find plenty of interest here and, with a year on HD, you should have plenty of stories to tell.

Acougan, welcome to IHD. You are from where? Near KL? Sorry but I'm geographically challenged! Tell me in simple terms where you live.
Sounds like you will fit right in. You hate dialysis but you know you need it to survive.
Hope you come here a lot.

Your spelling and grammar is very good. Malaysia makes me think of beautiful flowers and trees for some reason.

Welcome to IHD acougan,
I'm really glad you found us and I really appreciate your attitude towards the acceptance of dialysis as only a temporary necessity. The wonderful thing about this forum is it reaches all around the world and it is able to help so many people such as yourself. Glad you found the humor with the name of the site, you would be surprised at how many people are offended by the name. When I think of Malaysia I think of beautiful women...oops did I type that out loud...
...
... welcome to the forum and I look forward to your involvement in the future.

I live in West Malaysia, it's a peninsular north of Singapore, Indonesia and south of Thailand. We are near the equator so we have tropical climate that can get pretty extreme (hot, humid, heavy rainfall, severe thunderstorms, etc.) I live near the capital - Kuala Lumpur (KL)
Actually I've been lurking around here for quite abit, reading up some interesting old posts regarding dialysis, diet, transplant preparations, post care, etc.- still got plenty to go. Thanks for the welcome. Me and my friend are trying to order some of those hilarious T-shirts on the IHD store, I'll nudge her to register and introduce herself here later on.
