I sent him a message.

Thanks for doing that.  I was going to PM him, but I know I don't get email notifications of PMs, so I don't receive them unless and until I log onto IHD, and it occurred to me that if p.k hasn't been logging on, then maybe he won't get notification of PMs, either.  I knew that some of you communicate with him on FB, but I'm not on FB, so I thought I'd come on here and start looking for him!  I hope he is OK.  Please let us know if you find out.  Thanks again.

I'm sorry, his email only shows to admins.
I did PM him and email him. No response.  :(
His last post:
May 03, 2011, 01:15:01 PM1 Dialysis Discussion / Dialysis: General Discussion / Two operations one day
Going in for a hernia operation tomorrow.  Due to being on PD i also will need a chest cath for 6-8 weeks.  The plan was to do both procedures while im under.  Now they say hernia operation at 9AM  then at 1pm they will do the chest cath?  No reason given as to why?

Im guessing they like private insurance but im sure they have a better reason......

I have a phone number, will try tomorrow.

I just spoke to Paul. He's been off work so not much access to the computer but he's doing ok. He appreciated the concern and will hopefully be back online in the next couple of weeks.

oh, thanks so much for contacting him!  That's really good news...I think.  I hope he is not off work because he has fallen ill.  Hmmm...good news that he's ok, bad news that he's not working?  Well, hopefully he can come back soon and tell us more.  Again, thanks for letting us know he is OK.

He had the hernia surgery and might need a follow up surgery, I think.
He is very happy that he's able to have started PD again last week, feeling better than on hemo.
Hopefully he can fill us in when he comes back.

I don't have Facebook, so I can't keep tabs on paul.karen, and I'd very much like to know if he is doing OK.  I don't wish to intrude, and I don't wish to put anyone in a position to betray any confidences, but if any of you have heard from him, could you let me know if he is alright?  Thanks so much.
