Hi, today I left dialysis weighing the same as I did when I went in. The nurse said it's probably because I had a mickey dee's iced mocha. But this thing is, I have one every morning while I am in the chair. Has this happened to anyone? The machine said it took off 1.5 k.

On another note, our first week of home hemo training went well. My DH is getting the machine ready, then tearing it down afterwards. Next week it's my turn to set it up. This will probably be my job when we are home. That way when he gets home from work we can just start.

Also got my monthly labs report. phosphorous & potassium are still good. Little low on protein. And they are stopping the vit D because of the PTH.

Have a good weekend!

peace,
DJ

The scales are not infallible.  They can give an odd weight.  The dialysis machines are not perfect, either - some seem to take off more than others, some less.  1.5 does seem like a lot, though!  Do you have a scale at home? It may help to keep track at home, and if your weigh-in doesn't seem right, then you can re-weigh.
