Sitting in ER
«
on:

Carl was stung by a hornet this morning and his PP sent him to ER. Major itching and welts all over his body, especially hands and genitals.
Update later.

They gave Carl a shot of Benedryll and a long-lasting steroid. Now we have to wait for 20 minutes before being released.
His reaction had started fading before he was even seen, though. Just being cautious.

Has he had this reaction to hornets before? Sounds awful.

Hey, Billybags.
He had never been stung by a hornet - other nasty bugs including a black widow spider, but the hornet was a new one.
We'll be much more vigilant of hornets in the future!

Just to cheer you up Aleta, my first husband was diving into the pool one day and a bee bit him. Guess where? He sat in the chair all day with an ice bag, and me trying not to laugh.
