Hi,
I I have been on dialysis for about 10yrs. In 1997, I donated a kidney to my father. In 1998, the kidney I had failed. I couldn't believe it and my children weren't too happy about it either. In fact my daughter told me to ask my dad if I could have the kidney back.(Kids say the darnedest things).  I have had 2 transplants, each of which rejected, and I have just put myself back on the transplant list. So, yes, I do hate dialysis, but thak God ilt is available. My people don't understand how I feel about having to do this. How it makes you feel, the emotional turmoil. just everything about it. Hopefully , I will be able to talk to others who can empathize, that's what the site is for right.
Thanks for reading !

 :welcomesign; I have often wondered if that may happen, donate one of your kidneys and then the one that was left packs up. How unlucky for you.
  But what a wonderful thing you did at the time, I admire anyone who donates their kidney, they must be about the best people in the world and I hope you will soon have someone donate one back to you.  I wish you all the luck in the world and you will just love this site as I do take care  Yvonne the wife.  :flower;

Welcome to the group.  Your kids sound like that guy who gave his wife a kidney, then demanded it back when she went out and cheated on him and wanted a divorce!  Hope things start going better for you soon.
