No, but I was raised on Star Trek: TNG.  It's sort of the same genre.  :lol;

That's funny I don't picture you as a Sci-Fi fan.  :thumbup;

Oh man Epoman. You got the wrong picture there!  Sci fan fan out here big time.  Loved the old Battlestar Galactica. I love the New Battlestar Galactica series. I have all the DVDs to it, too- old and new.  I have seen all the Star Trek movies and Trek series.

Absolutely love Babylon5.  Stephen Furst from the series works with Lori Hartwell and I asked for an autograph from him through her. He emailed me and I sent my address.  I am waiting to see if it comes! I have all of the DVDs and books from the series that I could find.  Just bought Legend of the Rangers on DVD

I read sci fi too. I love Piers Anthony- Anatomy of a Space Tyrant, Anne McCaffrey, (I have read everything she has written), Mercedes Lackey, Dean Koontz (horror, I know)(From the Corner of His Eye Bestbook written by him),Terry Goodkind - Sword of Truth Series (Best books I have ever read), David Brin, Isaac Asimov... and a whole bunch more authors.
I especially like books that happen in space craft that tell a  story of survival or discovery.  I also like movies involving sci fi.  I do not like horror movies, except for older suspense movies like Hitchcock and Twilight Zone used to make.

I am very eclectic in my reading.  My husband says I do not read books, I swallow them!  He sees a new book every day with me and wonders how do I read them so fast.

Damn, I wish I had known, I just met Stephen Furst last month and I got his autograph (Lori too). I would have gotten you one too had I known. Wow you are a big sci-fi fan!

When I was a kid I loved this show: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Land_of_the_Lost_(1974_TV_series) and this one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thunderbirds_(TV_series)

This is one of my favorite classic Sci-fi movies: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Day_the_Earth_Stood_Still

Speaking of Star Trek have you seen this site for Star Trek Enhanced? http://www.trekenhanced.com/

Loved those program too. Go Thunderbirds, Go!  Land of the Lost was great, but have awful memories from high school of being called a sleastack (sp?) by one of the boys. Did you ever watch the remake of Land of the Lost?  I liked the movie The Day the Earth Stood Still.

I think I have been to the Trek enhanced site. I will check it out this evening when I get home from where? Dialysis, of course!

Well I am off and running to work, the off to sit with hubby while he has surgery this morning.

Sci fi and all that...Live long and prosper!....Resistance is futile, you will be assimilated!

I loved, and I mean loved, Land of the Looooooooost.  (That was my attempt at the opening song.)
I never got into Star Trek or Babylon 5.  How about HR Puffinstuff?  Okay, I guess that's not exactly Sci Fi. :beer1;

'Woah' that is so cool! I had never heard about that before. I watched 2 of the episodes and they were actually pretty good.  :thumbup; Thanks for the link Kat. BTW since you are a Sci-Fi fan you should start a new thread about the "New Voyages" so we can discuss it further,If someone doesn't like Babylon 5 they will miss this great link.

Kuudos on the headsup.  :thumbup;
