I'm experiencing more "roid rage" now on 6 mg of Prednisone (started Prednisone on Nov. 4) then I had when I was at 20 mg and up. Is this normal?  I can't seem to control it at all.  It's exhausting and I have frequent headaches.

Kelly,
I don't have an answer for you, but I'm truly sorry to hear this.

Get a T-shirt that says "I'm On Prednisone...And I know How To Use It"            :boxing;

How can you be sure what drug is making you moody?  6mg is really a low dose.

I think some of the other drugs have something to do with it. I have felt at times impatient and I could rip some heads off!

I was having some headaches too. But I think it was from my PTH being high. I feel much better since my calcitrol was upped.

You're right, Rerun.  I am a redhead, so that could very well be a factor, too.   :rofl;  I'm totally guessing/blaming it on the Prednisone.  What else could be causing it though?

My rage seems to be more at inanimate objects and not so much with people.  Like today, my digital camera froze on me and I just smashed it into the table until it broke.   :shy;    I gotta get control over this.  I'll talk to my doctor on the 30th.

Kelly, so sorry  to hear you're having this problem, but it brings back so many bad memories from my first transplant when we weren't warned of these possible side effects!

Have they recently lowered your dose? I figured out that when my dose gets messed with is when I have the most problems. You'll also notice it in people who are only on it temporarily because of an allergic reaction or something like that. Hopefully this is the problem and is therefore only temporary for you. Either way, I hope the doc has some answers and solutions for you.

I've been coming down 1 mg a month since 10 mg.  I've only recently noticed the extreme anger.  I'm not always patient, but this is ridiculous!   Thanks for your kind words, KT.   :cuddle;
