Going to the beach!

I'm going to Myrtle Beach, SC this week - it will be the first BIG trip with the cycler. I've only taken it out of the home for one night so far and even that required a ton of supplies so I can't wait to see how much three nights is going to take! I've got fresenius delivering bags, cassettes and drain lines to the hotel and then the rest I am bringing myself. I'm scared I'm going to forget something so I will probably call fresenius tomorrow and have them help me figure out what I need to bring - I appreciate that they're nice and don't mind helping.
This will also be the first time I've gone swimming with the catheter! I'm a bit scared but mostly excited... I don't know why, but I have this great need to be emerged in water since starting dialysis. Hopefully it won't storm the whole time.. that'd be upsetting. There are a lot of really nice pools and water slides around as well but I can't get in them
Anyone found a way to get around not being able to swim in public pools yet?
Anyways, this post was basically to tell you guys where I'm going I guess... just thought you'd like to know

Oh, that sounds lovely!
When we are traveling I have a checklist of supplies we need to take. The first time we traveled I forgot the tourniquet! Fortunately we had something that would work!
Have a great time, rain or shine.

You are going to have so much fun.....If I weren't so happy for you I'd be jealous.... well, guess I can be a little of both.

my nep doc told me I could swim in pool water but never oceans , ponds or lakes -
medical supply companies have wraps you can use to cover the catheter -
if it rains -- stand in the rain unless there is lightning !
have fun and enjoy yourself ------ I am excited for you --- use sun screen ! do not come back looking like a lobster --- crawford loves crawfish and lobsters !

Woo, I just finished packing and the supplies filled an entire suitcase! Traveling with dialysis is no easy task but it will be totally worth it! I do not know where to find one of the catheter covers you speak of.. I think it's too late now though since I leave in the morning. Anyways, I'll be back Sunday night (with pics of course)!
