I read the book and didn't really like it. Maybe it's just me. I thought it was too unrealistic and that thought kept getting in my way of enjoying it.

The book's ending was a total cop-out.  Right when they were going to have to face all the issues head on, Picoult brought everything to a dead halt and tied it all up with a neat little bow.  I was completely frustrated with the way she ended it, and won't go see the movie because of it.

One of my coworkers (very young and naive) saw the movie and really liked it.

I read the book, but it was when it first came out so it's been awhile. I wasn't too interested in seeing the movie but couldn't remember why. Now I remember, thank you jbeany for reminding me how disapponting it was.

My sister in law recommended the book to me when I started dialysis. The whole way through I was thinking "why am I reading this?"

I haven't seen the movie and I am unsure I will. I was frustrated and annoyed at the way the medical information was written.  :boxing;
