I know how you feel.  I start feeling good, and it's time for dialysis.

Your blood pressure is elevated.  Also you might be dehydrated when finishing dialysis, which means you might try raising your dry weight.

Well.. I'll tell ya, that probably won't last.  When I missed a Friday appointment once (not by choice, catheter refused to work) - I felt great all weekend but by Monday morning I was puking and feeling like crap again.

ugh no way. you're too pretty to feel like crap!!! :(

I think there's a point where the body feels better but the toxins build up nonetheless and then you hit a point where the levels overwhealm you and you "crash" under the weight of them (so to speak) and it can happen rather quickly. That part sucks.

I've never missed a session though, and never intend to... unless I've got a fantasically got reason (no, not a hot date though that would be a tough call !!  :rofl;)

So true!  Feeling good after a missed appointment doesn't last.  When I've missed, it has been due to the access not working.  The good feeling lasted about a day.  For me, I think it's just giving my blood a break since I dialyze 5 times/week.  After that initial day, it was all puking, weakness, dizziness, and exhaustion - the toxins took over. It was almost a week before I dialyzed again and I was sick! sick! sick!  It wasn't worth it.

That was the first and hopefully the last time I will miss a session.  Dry weight is good, in fact I have lost some weight and we just lowered it.  Still without cramps or nausea and feeling pretty good.
