Resident given award for dialysis care advocacy

Staff Report

Tuesday, March 17, 2009

MIDDLETOWN — Jim Dineen, resident of West Chester Twp. and native of Middletown, who was recently appointed to The Renal Network of Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio Board of Trustees, is also the 2009 recipient of the organization's Robert Felter Memorial Award.

The Renal Network is a not-for-profit organization that monitors quality of dialysis care. The organization established the Felter award in honor of Robert Felter, a strong endorser of The Renal Network and its mission.

The award is given to individuals who work to protect fellow patients and also recognizes facilities that provide superior care.

Dineen, a kidney transplant recipient himself, is an advocate for quality care for all transplant patients and also travels around the country giving motivational presentations to patients. To learn more about Dineen and his experiences visit www.eagledreamer.com.
