HELP  I dont know where to turn to get help for financeing of  dialysis.  I cant get medicaid,  to help with  the  20% I will owe the Davita center. I was told about a QMB but havent found out about it yet.  Is there any other place I might look into . I know others have had this problem  How did you get help.?I was told  about having a benifit  but  dont  really think that will go over well.

Admin for IHateDialysis 2008 - 2014, retired.
Jenna is our daughter, bad bladder damaged her kidneys.
Was on in-center hemodialysis 2003-2007.
7 yr transplant lost due to rejection.

If you are on "Medicare" then you should not have to pay anything.  DaVita will "try" a few times but then they will stop.  Medicare gives them plenty for their over charging process.

What?  Are they going to make you stop??  Tell them to stop with all the illegals first and then you will.....

Have you talked with your social worker at Davita? Just this week, my social worker specifically emphasized that if finances ever became an issue not to worry and to talk to them immediately. I got the impression that there are programs available to assist so that finances for dialysis should never become an issue. She stressed talking to them as soon as the problem became evident so they can solve it.

Yes I did talk to the social worker and she said that Davita has a program that will take over if you qualify . I am really depending on this .

Do NOT worry, you will not be denied dialysis and DO NOT pay a dime.  Repeat DO NOT pay a dime.  They will take it if you will give it.  Medicare pays PLENTY!  PLENTY!!

I am assuming that  if  you dont pay a dime  they will get on the ball.  Hope so .  Im 49 not yet 50   I still cant afford to pay  for any ins.   My money is gone just about as soon as I get it.  And  I am a pennie pincher. But social worker  did say  she thought  I would probably be able to get help .   I am feeling better , I hope I am getting  better.  My gfr went up 5 %  last  blood work done ,  I am doing another  blood work Tue.  I aam trying to eat better   I am more  aware of what I eat  . I look  at food as Protein phos sodium and pot. Im not gettting nausea now  Low protein  I was eating way to much protein and phos.  I love cheese and have a refrigerator full of cheese 5 diffrent kinds and cant eat it. Boyfriend better start eating more. HAHA  thanks for listening
