me and my donor Joyce

« on: March 04, 2009, 05:52:37 AM »

So, 2 weeks ago I went to clinic and my doctor said we would start weaning me off Prednisone.  I have been alternating between 10 mg and 5 mg for the past 2 weeks... starting yesterday I will be on 5 mg for 2 weeks.  Anyway, for the last 2 days (actually today is the 3rd day) I have been running a mild fever (between 99.5 - 100.8 ).  I called my tx coordinator and he said to go get labs done,  take some vit. C and get in to see my PCP.  I have an appointment at 9:30 with my PCP but I am just nervous as heck!!!  My PCP should have my lab results when I get there this morning... I can't wait to see them!  Has anyone had anything like this happen????

Just got back from the doctor. My labs look great! WBC - 6.2 so no infection.... creatinine - 1.13 so it is steady. BUN is a little high at 26, but thats normal for me. My bp was great at 110/60. My pulse was a little high, so they think I might be getting a little dehydrated. I am to take tylonol and drink lots of fluids. I will redo labs on Monday.

You don't know how relieved I was to see my creatinine was normal!!!!
