Omg today I have the worst pain in my back! I was walking into Target and was hit with shooting pain that felt like stabbings! I must have had a weird look on my face because people looked at me funny, but seriously the pain almost is unbearable and worse yet is I start school tomorrow and that means a backpack!

Pain that severe should not be ignored.  You should have a medical professional assess it ASAP.

Karen, I'd definitely NOT wear a backpack if I were you (which of course I'm not).  I think I'd take a little wheely case instead and if anyone thinks it's not cool...who cares.  David is right too about getting it thoroughly assessed.
