I'll say this site lists 21 people within 12 blocks of my home that have various but serious charges.

monrein, I can't speak for everyone here but, let's just say if I was looking to buy a house, I could search the neighborhood and see how many child molesters, home robberies, sexual assaults, etc. that have taken place in that area. Added security to me to protect my family, especially my children. Somebody else might have other motives.  :o

I would tell my kids not to hang out at those houses.  :thumbup;

a couple of years ago I found out that the man across the street was in jail for 5 years for rape
my daughters and one neighborhood girl always had to jog with each other
they took our cow dog along
they had phones and we were always in touch with them
but the worse was along the long road where I taught school we had more pedophiles than houses almost

I'm surprised to see less people listed who live near me (suburb of Portland, OR), than there are near my parents who live in a town with a population of ~700.

I agree. We get up to date post cards every month from the County Sheriff's Dept. profiling people and listing their address in our neighborhood who are convicted sex offenders. None of them are even listed when I enter our address.

My husband just e-mailed me and said he got completely different results every time he entered our address. He tried it 4 times and never got the same results twice.

Weird, I just tried again a few more times and got different results as well.  It does say that it's a BETA program on the main page so it's still a work in progress.

It also shows that there is a Gentile Air Force Station at the end of our street! I don't think so!!! There's the Wright Patterson Air Force Base 20 minutes north of us, but unless I'm death, blind and dumb, there is no base at the end of our street!  ???
