I was actually thinking of Medicare.  It ends 12 months after you stop dialysis.  So, if you get a transplant and no longer require dialysis, Medicare will end 12 months after the transplant.

I thought it was three years after transplant because of the meds.

I just checked on the Medicare web page - 12 months.   How would one pay for that without insurance?

Isn't that supposed to change with some new law that was passed?

If you already had Medicare based on age, it wouldn't end if you got a transplant would it?

Free Time.   Almost all of my time is free and I could always find something to do with it.  Now, after starting dialysis last week, my favorite thing to do is sleep.  I can sleep everywhere and anywhere and anytime except during dialysis.

Oh yeah DW.  I could sleep in a train station I am sure.  It takes time to get used to the noises at the centers.
