Hello to all.  My name is really Pat but after having 7 grandkids at a very young age I am now Oma!
I am a type 1 diabetic since age 14-15 years old, I am married to Mario for the past 32 years & we have 3 really great kids, grown and gone now!
I "went" (like I really had a chose in the matter) blind in 2001
I had my first heart attack and my blood sugars went over 1300 last march I was in a coma for 3 days and it hurt to come back to life!
I also started dialysis in march due to the kidney and heart failure.
I continue to have major heart attacks and am very tired of it.
My fistula is not working very well, I have a great dialysis team and Gabe trys every other day to plug me in! I have the tubes in my chest and I really hate not taking a shower and having to stay out of the pool.
I have an appointment for the transplant but I'm not real sure I want someone else's body parts.

I live in the central San Joaquin Valley of California Go to Davita in Madera, it just reopened with only 10 chairs and open only on MWF for now. Love the team hate the time I have to put in.
Quit my job after the first heart attack. I like to write grants for NPO's Love my grandkids and my computer in that order.

Welcome to our community.  We are so glad to have you here with us.  I look forward to your sharing with us.  You said you 'went' blind.  Are you still blind?  Tell me what computing is like for you.
Welcome again.
