Hi, I'm Mandarin, I've ben on Dialysis for three years, at first I was on PD but I had a problem, the fluid leaked into my lungs, so they put me on Hemo. I was very afraid at first, but I've gotten better. My kidneys failed because of high blood pressure and genetics. My brother's kidneys also failed because of high blood pressure, but he got a transplant about 3 years ago. He is doing well. I am on the transplant list, but I am afraid of that also. I'm just a chicken about all of this.
I found this site in a magazine called Nephrology. I was very happy to know that I'm not the only person that hate dialysis. I was afraid to hate dialysis, because I thought God might do worse things to me for being ungrateful for my life. My husband always tells me to be positive! It is not that I am ungrateful, it is just that I hate dialysis. So, thank you everyone for being here. People that understand!

Mandarin, welcome to the site! And don't worry, you can be positive about your life and still hate dialysis, in fact, I can't imagine why anyone would
not
hate dialysis. This is a great place to come for support or if you have questions. We're glad you're here!
