Life is great!

« on: February 25, 2009, 11:42:56 AM »

I am starting my dialysis training next Thursday.  I'll go four days a week for eight weeks.  Can't complain.  I had an extra two years of freedom that I didn't expect to have.  I am going to training on my own - their preference - and then the last week I can bring someone in for a day.  The centre really promotes taking total control of your own treatments and care.  The centre came over yesterday and checked out the house and gave me the thumbs up for all the plumbing etc.  I will eventually do eight hours, five/six nights but I'll be starting off very slowly with a couple of hours.  Anyhow, I will let you know how it goes. Now I truly am a nocturnal babe!!!

I hope everything goes smoothly for you Cindy. I'm sure that your "can do" spirit gives your center plenty of confidence that you will be a whiz at home hemo.  :grouphug;
