If you are taking medication you should be all right. My son is talking about going back and having them remove his last parathyroid and going on the replacement medication if his Sensipar doesn't bring his PTH under control.

To answer my own question--YES!!! ;D It does semm to be working. My son's outrageously high PTH (5000+) has been halved on the drug. He is now in the very high 2000s. Thanks Big Sky for the tip that helped him start a little earlier with the samples.
