Hi, My name is Mike. I have been on dialysis for about 9 years combined. I'm on the tail end of my last transplant. It's barely doing anything other than taking up space in my abdomen.
My last transplant lasted for 17 years. I'd probably still be fine had I followed the rules a little better, But Human see Human do.  I've been on hemo for a year and a half now and I'm Lovin' It....
Kidding, it sucks..

Hang in there, Cloned kidneys are just around the corner.

:waving;  Mike!  Glad you joined us!   What do you mean "Human see, Human do"?  What happened?  I just transplanted on Nov 5th and I want avoid all the pit falls!  I'd love to hear more of your story.  17-years seems like a good run, but I can understand your disappointment.

Thanks and Welcome!

I had my kidney 17 years also.   I've been back on dialysis a little over 3 years now.
