Did the crossmatch today.  Generally, how long until results are revealed?  24-hrs?  48-hrs?

Praying for a negative result!   :bow;

Thanks!

It took 1 day for the final crossmatch right before Jenna's transplant, but I believe they rush it through because the surgery is imminent. Typically it takes a few days.

I'm almost certain that Stephen had a final crossmatch done on a Monday for transplant done on that Wednesday.

I got a call this morning regarding my crossmatch!    It appears they LOST MY BLOOD!!!!!!  They're blaming in on the courier, but does it really matter?  I had to go back this morning for yet another stick.  If this happens again I'm showing up with a stick of my own!     :Kit n Stik;   Looks like now it will definitely be next week when I get the results.  I was hoping for maybe today.   :(

OMG, Kelly! :banghead;  I'd say that I can't believe it, but unfortunately, I can! How incredibly frustrating! I'm so sorry. Hang in there, okay?  :cuddle;

On a personal note: It sucks when they loose blood.  I had Kaiser break my blood sample in their centrifuge on morning and they had to redraw it!  Hate that!

I'm calling my coordinator first thing Monday a.m. because I have a question regarding the results.  If we are supposed to have our blood drawn on the same day how will the results be affected now that we're 48+ hours apart?  Can someone here help me with that?

If the results are "possitive" I'm going to want a re-draw.  If they are "negative" I would be nervous to accept that as correct.

What should I do?

 :thx;

Ugh!  ???

I would have the same questions you do. Be sure you get concise answers!

Why do things like this seem to always happen right before the weekend?
