Hello to all haters out there.  I've been on hemodialysis for four and a half blissful years, yeah right!  I've had my ups and downs.  A lot of downs for the past year.  Now, i have surgery to look forward to in couple of weeks to put a new access in my leg!  Whoopie!!!!  I have the catheter in my neck for now...hurts quite a bit.  Anyway, hope I'm not too much of a downer.

Hi Susan and Welcome,  Well girlfriend, you've come to the right place.  Please feel free to vent, ask questions, post comments or concerns whenever you feel the need.   We are all one big family here with one thing in common, dialysis.  So many members here, many are patients, some are relatives of patients, caregivers, family, friends, and they all have interesting and very important information to share.  Before you continue, please take a look at the Site rules located in the general discussion thread.  We look forward to hearing more from you as you continue this journey and please, if you have ANY questions, do not hesitate to ask... We are here for you :)

Welcome Susan! I have been on Hemo since July of 2005 and still have the Catheter in. After awhile it doesn't hurt anymore .. but I wish I could just stick with the catheter instead of the fistula ;)

Please share! :) Are you in the States?
