Hello to all! My name is David Bickley. I started back on hemodialysis in February of 2008. I had my first kidney transplant on February 14th of 2001. My father donated a kidney to me. Our family is very close and supportive of each other . I have 2 sisters, one older and one younger. I took it kind of hard when i found out late last year that my transplant was failing and it was only a matter of time before I would be back on dialysis. Exactly 7 years from when I recieved my transplant I started back on dialysis. I am once again going to try to get a transplant. This time around hopefully from my wife, who is very supportive and I love dearly. We have only been married 1 year but she has helped me so much. I keep alot of my feelings to myself but somehow she knows when I am down in the dumps. I could go on for a long time talking but I will not. If anybody wants to chat my wife says I am a very good listener. I will try to help anybody that needs help or just wants to talk. If you want to know anything more about me feel free to ask.

Thank you
The picture was taken last year. What a year it has been. Married in the middle of the year was one of the greatest days of my life. 2nd only of course to recieving my first kidney transplant in 2001. then the worst day of my life coming in the same year when they told me at the end of last year my kidney was failing and it would not be long until I was back on dialysis.

My wifes grandfather lives in Florida. He lives in St. Augustine. Is that anywhere close to where you live. Do you enjoy all that heat in the summer.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Welcome David to IHD,

It really feels good to help others doesn't it? That is one of the things that I think keep some of us going. We are here for you too David and your lovely wife. If you need or have any questions just ask. There is plenty of information within IHD for every step of ESRD to Dialysis including a caretaker section. Join us in the chat room when ever you see anyone there.
