Goofynina and Epoman - Gone But Not Forgotten

IHD family, please celebrate with me! :yahoo;  It was this same day in 2005 that Ii checked a forum on 'nephron.com', I think it was called.  Well, posting on this site was a guy with this strange name 'Epoman' (what on  earth does that mean, I asked) and he was telling about a weirder-named website where you should go if you wanted the plain truth with no great censorship. I took his word, went over to IHD and was so helped.  It became a most important place to me.
Just want to say thank goodness for Epoman and his vision.

Admin for IHateDialysis 2008 - 2014, retired.
Jenna is our daughter, bad bladder damaged her kidneys.
Was on in-center hemodialysis 2003-2007.
7 yr transplant lost due to rejection.
She did PD Sept. 2013 - July 2017
Found a swap living donor using social media, friends, family.
New kidney in a paired donation swap July 26, 2017.

It's been just about a year for me now on IHD, and what a difference it has made in my life and the lives of a number of other people, as I feel that much of the credit for my kidney donation must go to IHD for providing the information and inspiration I needed.  Indeed, thank goodness for Epoman and his vision; what an incredible legacy he left us.  And thank goodness, too, for all of you dedicated folks who have kept Epoman's vision alive after his passing.  It's a blessing and a miracle for which I am very grateful.

Again, Bajanne, thanks so much for being here, and HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!

Bajanne, it was a fortunate day for everyone when you joined IHD.  You are one of the core group and have helped keep this site alive and well for a long time.  Thank you for your dedication to IHD and Epoman's vision.  We love you!  :grouphug;

I joined the same time and there was a lady named Bananna-Jane (that is how I pronounced it).   I'm so glad I met you and found this site.

Thanks for the reminder! 

It's important to look back now and then to see how far we've come.  I really appreciate Epoman for his conviction and determination in starting this site.

Well, congrats to you.   :clap;  I never thought to celebrate my IHD date (gonna be awhile), but I do celebrate my entry into dialysis on July 14, and my entry into PD on October 20 (hey that's coming up soon).

1993 diagnosed with glomerulonephritis.
Oct 41, 2007 - Got fistula placed.
Feb 13, 2008 - Activated on "the list".
Nov 5, 2008 - Received living donor transplant from my sister-in-law, Etta.
Nov 5, 2011 - THREE YEARS POST TRANSPLANT!  :D
