I'm on Baxter. You can get drain bags to use instead of drain lines. (I've used them when away from home)

I'm on Fresenius and was recently switched to their "new" system.  I guess it's been around for several years but I balked at changing because I was told initially that they didin't have patient line extensions.  I need the extension to be able to reach the bathroom and I refuse to use a bucket or anything else if I happen to get up during the night.  I finally had to switch two months ago because Fresenius was discontinuing support for the older machines and also were going to stop making the tubing, etc.  The new Stay-Safe system can luckily either drain into the toilet or use drain bags.  Drain bags for me.  Don't want anyone tripping over the lines during the night or the cat amusing himself with them either.

I guess I'm lucky.  I've had a couple of bouts of peritonitis in my two different times on PD but I've never had to switch to hemo.  I hope you can get back to PD Adam as I think it allows one to live a more normal life if that's possible for a dialysis patient.

On the Baxter machine myself.  Had not heard of the Fresenius till just recently.   Baxter actually has a warehouse only about 2 miles from my house so it's ever so easy to get whatever I need for it...
