I have just learned something very interesting today i didnt know before which might be of use to some of you . This dinnertime when the doctor came she did my b.p. which was 124/82 ..the 82 being extremely low for me , im usually 120 ish ( i know, i know!) but she said it could be because i have this virus and am possibly dehydrated , i was showing signs of cramps in my hands and feet.
Anyway after my t-time dialysis is went to check my b.p. again (still getting crampy hands and feet!) and my Diastolic ( the bottom one) was reading 135 !!!!!OMG! So i rang the renal unit and it seems that dehydration can not also cause your b.p to drop , but to go exceedingly high ! I have always been told fluid overload = high b.p.. No one has ever told me dehydration can do the same , so i just wanted to let you all know this. The outcome ..DRINK.. wow! i can drink , what a fantastic solution ! :yahoo; Bet you im fluid overloaded tommorrow  :rofl;

We are such "living chemisty experiments" aren't we?!  One thing goes up and another goes down.  We do this to bring that level into compliance and it throw that one into chaos!  Whew!  It's make my brain hurt!

I hope you find relief soon.

A great many years ago while undergoing some medical training we had one Nurse/teacher who taught us something that has always stuck with me about BP nomenclature, we were trying to remember which of the 2 reading was the diastolic and which the systolic. her solution.....
just remember,        "Shit over the Dam".........
