Do ypu think I could use lidocaine cream before I get my tattoo? You know, apply some on my shoulderblade to maybe numb it? Or would that be a bad idea?

The tattoo artist has something they can use to numb the area a little. Not all artists use it but there are a few.  Call them and see what they say.

I'm pretty sure it's okay. Tatoo artists don't use it because it's Rx.

I'd ask the tatoo artist - what if it thins out the ink, or something?  Check with them first!
