Marvin's on the machine now (home hemo).  Our dearest friends (and their boys -- ages 18 and 10) are coming over to grill for supper (bbq chicken, fresh corn-on-the-cob, steamed cabbage, "Irish" potatoes, and watermelon for dessert -- hey, this sounds like I'm in the "What's for supper?" thread).  After supper, we're all going over to beautiful White Lake, NC, (about 20 miles from us) to watch the fireworks!

Jenna is here and her two brothers and dad too. Her sister is off with friends at the beach. Today I will grilled cheeseburgers and hot dogs, make some baked beans and corn on the cobb We will have brownies and watermelon too.
Then this evening we will walk up to the Rose Bowl stadium (actually the lawn surrounding it) for fireworks. It's supposed to be in the 90's here today, which means it will be a nice evening for being outdoors.

I was in Healdsburg, CA for a chocolate walk and then a ghost walk.  Ate really good on the chocolate walk, a chocolate torte, a chocolate covered strawberry, gelato, frozen yogurt, sourdough bread.  The ghost walk was great.  The tour guide took us around to the old houses in town and told us the ghost stories of Healdsburg.

A chocolate walk?  Does that count as exercise?  I'm jealous!

Yes, I counted it as exercise. I was really surprised my sister had a good time, too.
