I knew that while taking Prograf you should not have grapefruit, but I didn't realize Fresca has real grapefruit juice in it:

Are there interactions between Prograf and foods or beverages?

    * It has been shown that grapefruit, grapefruit juice and other foods and beverages that contain grapefruit (for example, the soda Fresca has natural grapefruit juice in it) can increase the blood level of FK506.
    * It is recommended that you avoid grapefruit, grapefruit juice and other foods and beverages that contain grapefruit while taking FK

I knew Fresca had grapefruit juice, but didn't know they still made it. Tab and Fresca go hand in hand to me as the first soft drinks I had when I was diagnosed as a diabetic in the 70's. And then there were better tasting soft drinks from Diet Pepsi, and Diet Dr. Pepper.

Haven't had the drink in years, but it use to say on the can "made with real grapefruit juice" and thats how I knew and then reading the ingredients. But if you don't pay attention, this is a warning to read the ingredients first, just like you would on dialysis to figure potassium, phosphorus, and salt content.

This is the list that we were given for products to avoid because of grapefruit juice:

Sunny Delight
Fresca
Gatorade
Dole Fruit juice combinations

and we were told to always read labels on juices as manufacturers sometimes use grapefruit juice as a preservative.

Gatorade? Is it a certain flavor?
I was told I could drink it, but since my potassium tends to lean the higher end of normal, I was told not to drink it anymore. I'll have to look at the ingredeints again when I go to the store of the flavors I use to drink.

Wow tamara, I never thought of that, I bet other lotions and creams might have it too. I wonder how much gets absorbed, no doubt it does to some degree!

I am curious what can be absorbed. I remember reading a brand of deodorant that said not to use if you have impaired renal function.
