I joined this site about a year ago when GFR was heading south...then it stabilized around 18....but I felt so bad I was looking for a window to leap out of....then GFR started sliding again so now in my second week of PD and I can't believe how much better I feel....actually want to do things...Thanks God!

Thats great  :2thumbsup; its suprising how much better you can feel once you start dialysis. I think you feel really really bad just before you start , its like they let you get right up to the edge then just as you feel you are going over ,they pull you back with dialysis. Hopefully you will continue to feel a bit better each day now !!

That is great, Andy! I felt so much better after starting PD also. =D  :waving;

I have Alport's Syndrome. My kidneys failed when I was 14 and I was on PD for five years before receiving a kidney transplant from my mother. That kidney failed in 2004 and I've been back on PD ever since. I am undergoing treatment for my high antibodies at Cedars-Sinai medical center. I had a kidney transplant on June 10, 2008. My boyfriend was the donor.
