What is that coming through my window?

I woke up to a blinding bright light coming through the window.  It was so bright that even when I closed my eyes, the blindingly white light was there.  It was, and still is, quite painful.  I'm not sure if this is part of my visual issues, or if I've just gotten used to the grayness of the rain and the snow in the last few days.

it wasn't welcome.  It was painful.  Mom's looking at getting some blinds for my window
