Some of my newest favorite country singers are Dierks Bentley, Josh Turner, Josh Gracin.  Love them!  I saw Montgomery Gentry and Van Zant in concert and they are good too.

The first time I heard "Long Black Train" I knew he would make it big in Country Music.

My first date with my husband was a concert of George Jones
and Tammy Wynette.  It was good.  So you imagine how long
ago that was.  I think that song of Brad Paisley "I'm sure
Gonna Miss Her" is rather funny.  My sister saw him sing that at
the G O Opry.

Many years ago I was a country DJ on an FM station back in New York.  That was 1976/1977 to be exact. I didn't really like it back then and was playing the stuff from a list someone else came up with.  Of course depending on the station I was on and that was about 4 a week back then I was an easy listening, beautiful music, top 40, and finally country DJ all at the same time and with a different name for each station.  Television made life much simpler and I only have one name now.  Anyway I sorta like it now and listen to it on XM in the car along with 40's, 50's, 60's, classical, bluegrass, and a few other types.

Was it Toby Keith that did "There was a time...back in my prime"?  Not sure if that is the title but it sure is one funny song.
