Anyone know how I can find out the forwarding address of someone who is moving?  We're wrapped up in a legal matter with a local couple and someone called my husband today and said there was a large U-Haul in their driveway.  Now, I don't know if they are just moving to a new home or to another state.  Either way, I want the address.  Thanks!

"Paging the lovely and talented Mysty"   ha ha

Actually, I ambushed my Postman and asked and he said "no".  He told me that  I could mail something in a couple of weeks to the old address and request the forwarding address.  But with that I would have to have my return address and I don't want them to know I sent it.  I may try something else....  unless, of course, Mysty has a great plan B!  ;)

You know...that was my first thought.  But I drive this God awful, highlighter yellow truck and I'm pretty sure they'll see me.   :shy;

Maybe I'll go undercover and borrow a friend's car.  That's an idea....

Stowaway in one of their boxes!

Seriously, though, if the legal matter has gotten to the point of hiring lawyers and anything has been filed with the court, then they're required to keep the court informed of their current address. Your lawyer should then receive a copy of the notice from the court.

You used to be able to pay the Post Office $1.00 and they would just give it to you, but that has changed. I thought you got a new car but didn't know it was yellow.

Go to the Uhaul and use their name and ask questions about the rental, tell them you lost your paper work and you know you have to have a copy of it to operate the truck. Maybe you'll get another copy of the address from them on the paper work. Worth a try but don't give them your real name.

I didn't get a new car.  I wish.  In 2006 my husband bought a diesel F250 and I inherited his highlighter yellow Sport Trac.  Hey, it's paid for.   :clap;
We did a "drive-by" their home last night and I didn't see any signs of moving, but we're still keeping our eyes and ears open.  Why would you disconnect all the phones?  Believe me when I say we'll find them!   I should really start my own PI company.  I've been a real hounddog with these people and it's amazing the things you find out.  :o

Like I told my husband  "They shouldn't have poked the bear."   He loves that saying and I'm going to order us t-shirts over the internet to wear to trial.  Of course, we'll put them on AFTER we win!!!!

By the way please, please, please keep me and my hubby in thoughts and prayers Tuesday.  We are attending the creditors hearing for their bankruptcy.  geeze....when will it ever end?
