Hello everyone my name is Katy, and I'm from the UK and I have just started dialysis a week ago for the first time after my transplanted kidney falied, I had that when I was 9, and I am now 18, so I had a good run on it.

Hi Katy
We are in similar positions although I'm not back on dialysis just yet.  Probably will begin in June if all goes as planned with the fistula access.  Welcome here and good luck.  Keep us up to date on your journey.

Welcome to ihatedialysis.com katy,

Nine year run is not bad especially when you are growing up. Hope you get another kidney and it lasts a long time.

Hi Kathy and welcome to IHD.  Damn it !!!  You are too young for this.  I hate dialysis is the place for you.  I hope you can have another transplant soon.

I'm looking forward to your posts.  There is a section for those 18 and under.  I hope you post there too. :welcomesign;

 :welcomesign;Kathy, we are glad you found us.  This is a great site for information but especially for support. No one walks alone once they join IHD.   I hate that at your age you have had to go through so much.  We will all be hoping for another transplant for you soon.  Again, welcome.

Hi Katy, welcome to IHD. I've been here a while and my mom is still pre-dialysis waiting to get the fistula. There are many knowledgeable, caring people here.
 :grouphug;
And you can see everyone loves the icons! Makes it a more 'active' conversation. take care
