Welcome to IHD.com. We have many members who are on PD.  Also we have many members who are parents.  The combination of the two makes for an interesting life, I bet.  There are threads that address the area of PD and its many facets.  Come on in and stay awhile.

Welcome to our community.  The welcome might be a bit late, but is not less.  It seems that you came in during one of my computer down times.  But I am so glad to have you with us.  I hope you have been enjoying this site and learning lots from others in the same situation as yourself.  One thing we like our members to post a lot.  That is how we can know what is going on with them and how they are doing.  This is a very supportive site as you will learn - we consider ourselves family. :grouphug;  So keep reading and keep posting.

Hi! Nice to meet you. I'm on PD too. =)

I have Alport's Syndrome. My kidneys failed when I was 14 and I was on PD for five years before receiving a kidney transplant from my mother. That kidney failed in 2004 and I've been back on PD ever since. I am undergoing treatment for my high antibodies at Cedars-Sinai medical center. I had a kidney transplant on June 10, 2008. My boyfriend was the donor.

Welcome, triplejay.  You will find a great deal of useful information on all dialysis modalities on this site from people who have experienced all of the "ins and outs" of them.  Read and ask lots of questions.  You won't be disappointed!
