Patient, 91, survives ambulance crash No one was seriously injured this morning in a crash that toppled an ambulance carrying an elderly patient on the Near Southside.
A car struck the Seals Ambulance Service vehicle near the intersection of East Keystone and South Raymond streets at shortly before 6 a.m., Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Lt. Jeff Duhamell said.
The ambulance, carrying a 91-year-old patient to a medical facility for dialysis treatment, flipped onto its side, Duhamell said. Another ambulance arrived and took the patient to Wishard Hospital with minor injuries, Duhamell said. A medic was also taken to an area hospital for treatment for minor injuries.
A child riding in the car suffered a bloody nose, Duhamell said.
