Better introduction

Well I started out as a child.....Son of a country preacher in the thriving metropolos of Spicewood Yx pop 39 on a good sunday. My parents dumped me off in Houston in the early 70's . I did mechanic work here for 35 years before my kidneys failed two halloween's ago. Diabetes, quackery and a lazy incompetent social worker did the rest. I still do as much mech. work as I am able. Mostly harleys and older restorations, whatever puts bread on the table. I don't know why the hell i'm still in Houston!

welcome to our community! We are glad you decided to join us. You will find that this is one of the best moves for anyone dealing with, or related to this renal challenge. Please read and read and read, and post and post and post. We are a family here, and are always glad to welcome more people into it
hope you get things sorted out with your insurance. I lost my insurance when my appointment as a teacher was not renewed because of my needing some time for dialysis. However, the policy in this country is that you pay for dialysis if you have insurance. If you don't, it is free! Thank God! It is free in my home country (Barbados), but i am not yet ready to return there.

i am a 51 year old male on dialysis for 3 years now. This is my second time. My brother donated a kidney to me about 13 years ago. I found this site on another site. I had to laugh when i saw what it was called. I hope to meet people from all over to talk about dialysis.
