I read somewhere how to calculate the KT/v for 3 days on and 1 day off per week.  I've searched but I can't seem to find it.

We started this routine last week and I as the caregiver love it.  It feels so much better even though it's not much different than 6 days per week.

Check your NxStage manual - there's a page in there with the formula that NxStage uses.  My nurse simply uses the number of days I dialyzed the week I did the pre and post Bun - sometimes 5, sometimes 6, to plug into the formula.  Bill Peckham told me once in a post here that the proper way to calculate it is actually to figure the average number of days per week for the whole month and use that number.
