Need I say more than the title!
My sixth graders are now seventh graders.  Hot damn! They were still asking me if they had passed today.  Hahahaha!  I had a good laugh and asked them if they had been met with by the principal with their parents or by me with their parents for a formal retention meeting.  This was after I gave them copies of their passing grades mind you.  They answered No, I answered,  then you are promoted.  Get out!  Have fun in seventh grade!
I am so happy. I need a break.
I have stripped the classroom down to bare walls and have put everything I can into cupboards for the summer.  I go back to work July 27  with a new group of kids.  I know there is another teacher out there in cyberland who knows how I feel!!!
School's out! School's out!  School's out! Happy dance! ;D ;D ;D ;D

I do welcome the break, I put ALOT of hours at the school. I mean ALOT of hours. It's kind of bittersweet, I feel happy AND sad. Damn kitkatz that's a short summer break, we get 3 months off here.

Our middle schools are all on the same track year round.  One year the district just up and decided to go year round with one track.  It is pretty crazy.  I will have November, two weeks for Christmas, three weeks in March and six weeks in June/July as break time.  I like the schedule, but not everyone does.  The november break is a good time for vacations in the cool.

JUST SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  We don't go on holiday until July 7th.  The kids go home the last week of June, but teachers continue until the first week of July.
I don't want anyone enjoying school being out until I am out.  Is that understood??

Remember I will be starting back July 24.  You will probably still be on vacation then.
